Scott Evans
Executive Manager, Partnerships & Growth
Scott leads industry engagement, strategic partnerships, and growth initiatives that help expand access to workplace mental health and suicide prevention support across North America's construction and energy infrastructure industries.
Prior to joining MATES, Scott spent nearly a decade in the concrete and construction materials industry, working alongside contractors, project teams, skilled tradespeople, and industry leaders. His experience in workforce engagement, relationship development, and industry operations gives him a practical understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing workers both on and off the jobsite.
In his role with MATES, Scott works closely with employers, contractors, labor organizations, industry associations, foundations, and public-sector stakeholders to build the partnerships and resources needed to support long-term industry change. He is particularly focused on strengthening workplace culture, peer support, access to care, and sustainable growth of the MATES model throughout North America.
Scott's connection to this work is also personal. As a suicide-attempt survivor, he understands firsthand the impact that connection, support, and early intervention can have during difficult moments. That lived experience, combined with his construction industry background, continues to shape his commitment to helping workers and organizations build stronger, safer, and more supportive workplaces.
